TikTok Shop Late Dispatch Rate (LDR) policy update infographic showing dispatch SLA, enforcement thresholds, six appeal scenarios, and appeal windows.

TikTok Shop published updated Late Dispatch Rate (LDR) requirements on June 4, 2026, adding a formal appeals process that covers carrier-caused delays, platform errors, and other situations outside a seller's control. The core dispatch standard remains unchanged: orders must receive a first carrier scan within 2 business days of pickup. What changes is that sellers now have a documented path to contest penalty points when delays were not their fault.

LDR is one of four metrics TikTok Shop uses to assess fulfillment health, alongside Valid Tracking Rate, On-Time Delivery Rate, and Seller-Fault Cancellation Rate. The recommended threshold is 4% or below. Sellers whose LDR exceeds 10% face enforcement actions including Account Health Rating deductions, order volume limits, or extended settlement periods, among other actions. The more LDR violations a shop accumulates, the stricter the enforcement actions become.

Key points:

  • Dispatch SLA unchanged: first carrier scan within 2 business days of pickup.

  • Recommended LDR: 4% or below. Enforcement threshold: above 10%.

  • LDR calculation excludes Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) orders from the numerator but includes them in the denominator.

  • Appeals now accepted across six scenarios; each enforcement can be appealed twice.

  • First appeal must be filed within 30 days. Second appeal within 15 days of first rejection.

Why sellers should know: Cross-border sellers facing carrier delays now have a documented path to contest LDR penalties, but each appeal scenario requires specific carrier-issued or platform-issued evidence.

How LDR Is Calculated

LDR only counts non-FBT orders in the numerator. The denominator includes all orders that should have been dispatched within the SLA, including FBT orders. Example from the official documentation: total orders dispatched within SLA = 200; non-FBT orders dispatched late = 25; LDR = 25 / 200 = 12.5%.

The Six Appeal Scenarios and Required Evidence

TikTok Shop accepts LDR appeals under six scenarios. Each has its own evidence requirements.

1. Carrier scanned on time but Seller Center did not record it

Submit screenshots of the Order Details page and tracking results for each affected order. Screenshots must show the scan timestamp occurred before the dispatch deadline visible in the Order Details page. If the appeal covers more than 5 orders, screenshots for a minimum of 5 are required.

2. Logistics Service Provider (LSP) liability

Submit one of the following: an official document from the LSP that accepts responsibility for the delay, showing the provider's name, the dates affected, the cause of the delay, how many orders were impacted, the relevant tracking numbers, and an official seal or signature; or a conversation thread with the LSP where they acknowledged fault, with all timestamps clearly visible.

3. Uncontrollable events

(such as natural disasters, government-declared emergencies, or sudden logistics network failures)Provide your warehouse name and address, plus supporting documentation from one of these sources: a publicly issued notice (such as a government advisory, weather alert, or strike declaration) that identifies the affected dates and locations; carrier tracking records showing where the shipment stalled; or a statement published on the logistics provider's official channel, with a link that can be independently verified.

4. TikTok Shop technical issues

Submit a screenshot of the system error with a timestamp, or screenshots of your communication with TikTok Shop support where TikTok acknowledged the issue and accepted responsibility. The impact period and reason must be clearly visible.

5. ERP or ISV system issues

(for sellers using MCF, Shopify, Rithum, etc.)Submit a screenshot of the system error with a timestamp, or an official document from your platform service provider that takes responsibility for the issue. The document must identify the provider's name, the affected dates, what caused the problem, how many orders were impacted, the relevant tracking numbers, and carry an official seal or signature.

6. Customer-related delays

Submit screenshots of customer communication showing they requested a delay or were unresponsive, or screenshots showing invalid customer address or contact details that caused the failure. All screenshots must clearly display the order numbers referenced in the violation notice.

What to Do During Widespread Disruptions

TikTok Shop may temporarily extend SLAs during widespread disruptions, but seller notifications are not guaranteed, particularly when extensions apply only to certain regions. To check whether your orders have an extended SLA, go to Manage Orders in Seller Center, click the To Ship tab, and check the Shipping Method column for each order's current dispatch deadline. If enforcement actions are applied despite the disruption, submit an appeal with your carrier's delay notice, proof of attempted pickup or drop-off, and the affected order IDs.
